Irma Black & The Cook Prize Registration Still Open

While some early birds are beginning to submit their students votes for the Irma Black Award and The Cook Prize, registration is still open! Votes are due on April 15th.

Join first and second grade classes around the country (and the world) in helping choose this year’s Irma Black Award from these outstanding finalists.

The Irma Simonton Black and James H. Black Award for Excellence in Children’s Literature (Irma Black Award) goes to an outstanding book for young children – a book in which text and illustrations are inseparable, each enhancing and enlarging on the other to produce a singular whole.
